Thanks for coming to our January meeting!

Thank you to everyone who came out for our community meeting on Saturday! We had over 60 people attend – many who had never attended before and had just recently heard of us – and that is so hopeful and encouraging! We look forward to working with you!

Here are some ways to get started taking action in the new year!

Stay Connected with National

If the Project 2025 document and the rapid rate at which cabinet nominees were announced are any indication, this administration wants to move fast! The best way to help slow and stop them is to stay in touch with guidance from national. Here are four opportunities to do just that!

Blocking and Building in 2025

On Tuesday, January 14 at 5pm PT, Indivisible is teaming up with Public Citizen, Working Families Party, and MoveOn for a mass call. This will be an an in-depth look at the upcoming confirmation hearings and show you how to take action.

Weekly Calls: Bracing for Impact

Join Indivisible’s co-founders Ezra and Leah for a live discussion about what we’ve learned so far from this new Congress and how to prepare for what’s to come. Most of the time will be spent on Q&A, so submit questions using the registration link below.

Remember to start Checking TAN!

Our legislature will convene in Olympia starting January 13th. Our state level umbrella organization, Washington Indivisible Network, (that’s WIN for short) organizes to advance progressive legislation through our Washington Indivisible Legislative Action team. That’s WILA. The statewide communication channel used by WILA as well as other progressive organizations is called Take Action Network. That’s TAN.

You can use TAN and the Washington State Legislature websites without creating accounts on either, but it’s easier if you do. All the instructions you need are on TAN of course! Click here and get set up.

Local TAN set up gathering

Not technical? Want to make sure you’re getting set up with TAN correctly and understand what to do? We’ll be hosting a meetup soon where folks can bring their laptops and work through it all together!

We had a TAN interest list signup at the Community Meeting, but if you missed it, you can still get in on the fun by emailing our general mailbox, indivisiblewa8@gmail.com. For quicker processing, please put “For Carol: Add me to TAN interest list” in the subject line.

New Member Reminders

If you haven’t done our new member survey please fill it out so we can get to know a bit more about you.

Also, please join us for the New Member Brunch on January 20th. This is your chance to get to know some fellow activists and leaders. The event will be held in a private home in the Renton/Maple Valley area, and address will be provided to those who are registered here. Please register by end of day Monday, January 13th, in order to plan for space and food. Thank you!

Not a convenient location/day for you? We are starting to plan a second brunch in February in Sammamish — stay tuned!
