Kamala Harris Chooses “Everyone’s Dad” Tim Walz as Running Mate
In his acceptance speech, Tim Walz thanked Kamala Harris for bringing back the “joy” and we think he’s a part of that! Let’s all tap into that as we head toward November! Thank you in advance for doing your part to make sure we elect a trifecta in the other Washington!
WA Primary Elections Carry the Blue Wave Forward
We’re feeling good about Primary results here in WA8 but we’ll still need to lean in! See where below and click to see all primary race results across the state here.
Congressional House CD-8
There is currently about a 6% gap favoring Kim Schrier over Carmen Goers. The 3% of voters for other Dems in the race are likely to vote for Kim, but this race is too close for comfort. Indivisible 8th will keep our focus on this race and keeping the seat Blue.
Governor
Bob Ferguson has taken a significant lead over Dave Reichert but many Republican votes for other Repubs will likely move to Reichert, narrowing the gap. The governor is our backstop of safety for policies and legislation that we support. We must win this seat. Outside money and attack ads are expected to roll in.
5th LD
Redistricting shifted the 5th from blue to purple. While Dem candidates Bill Ramos, Lisa Callan, and Victoria Hunt won in the primary and will advance to the November ballot, the Senate race between Bill Ramos and Chad Magendanz will likely be well funded by the Republicans as they see this as their chance to take back this seat.
12th LD
The Dem candidates, Heather Koellen and Jim Mayhew, both overperformed expectations. Heather’s opponent Brian Burnett is problematic in many ways (look it up). In light of Dem candidates being a new “thing” in the 12th after 54 years of Republican party domination, Dems still have much work to do to be known. However, with particularly low primary turnout in the 12th, analysts suggest there could be as much as a 20% swing for the general.
