#TakeAction – April 27, 2020
It’s #TAKEACTION Monday – Money is Needed! Let’s do the work!
April 27, 2020
🔹#TakeAction 1- Demand more Money for Coronavirus Testing
🔹#TakeAction 2-Help your Neighbors during this crisis.
#TakeAction 1 – Demand more Money for Coronavirus Testing
Action: Tell Members of Congress that the last coronavirus relief bill was only a down payment on what we need for testing. Reopening the economy depends on implementing rigorous test, trace, and isolate procedures in every state. The first step is testing. An investment of $50 Billion (about the size of the US soda market) is needed to build the testing infrastructure. Congress only gave $25 Billion. CALL, WRITE, EMAIL Congress; we need more money for testing to ensure we can go out of our homes into healthy and safe spaces.

#TakeAction 2 – Help your Neighbors during this crisis, if you are able.
Action: The People’s Bailout has not passed, so we need to do what we can to help those around us who may be struggling. The Coronavirus South King County & Eastside Mutual Aid group is helping marginal members of our community. Activist, Mariame Kaba said “Mutual aid is cooperation for the sake of the common good. It’s getting people to come together to meet each other’s needs, recognizing that as humans, our survival is dependent on one another.”
