#TakeAction – January 23, 2020
Hopefully today’s #TakeAction will distract you from the impeachment horror show. Call WA Representative Ybarra, Kilduff, Irwin, Orwall, Thai, or Goodman about open access to our judicial system if you live in LD13, LD28, LD31, LD33, LD41, or LD45.
If you don’t live in those districts you can canvass to get out the vote in our presidential primary. For extra credit you can sign up for a call this weekend to help Indivisible groups in Kentucky #DitchMitch:
🔶 Ask Representatives Ybarra, Kilduff, Irwin, Orwall, Thai and Goodman to vote HB 2567 out of their committee
🔶 Join a Canvass to Get out the Vote for the Presidential Primary
🔶 Register for the #DitchMitch National Indivisible kickoff call

Background:
The Courts Open to All Bill ensures that everyone has their day in court, regardless of immigration status. Immigration agents have been targeting individuals in and around courthouses in Washington. These practices impede due process and access to justice, spreading fear among people, families, and communities. These measures build community trust in local courts, prohibit immigration agents from interfering in local court functioning, and preserve access to our courts for everyone.
2. Join a Canvass to Get out the Vote for the Presidential Primary
Washington’s new Presidential Primary is March 10th, and volunteers are needed to canvass every weekend to explain our new nominating system and get out the vote. Check the following links for locations and times. https://www.facebook.com/pg/5thdems/events/ http://www.indivisible-wa8.com/calendar/
