#TakeAction – October 18, 2019

Happy Friday everyone! Here are ways you can #TakeAction today and this weekend:

🔶 Call Rep Schrier and tell her to support forceful action to compel compliance with House subpoenas

🔶 Canvass opportunities

1) Compel compliance with Subpoenas: On October 8, White House Counsel Pat Cipollone informed Speaker Pelosi and House committee chairs of the White House’s refusal to comply with subpoenas in connection with the impeachment inquiry.

The House needs to act quickly and decisively to thwart this latest obstruction of justice. Call Rep. Schrier to urge her to support such action:

“Hi, my name is [NAME]. I’m a constituent of Rep. Schrier living at [ADDRESS or PLACE]. I’m alarmed by the White House’s refusal to comply with subpoenas seeking documents and testimony in connection with the current House impeachment inquiry. Please let Rep. Schrier know that I’d like to see the House forcefully respond to White House stonewalling. The House should start using its inherent power to compel compliance by directing its sergeant at arms to arrest Administration officials or others who flout subpoenas. The House also should cut funding in next month’s funding bill from those executive branch organizations that fail to comply. Thank you.”

2) Canvasses:
· Saturday 10am for Rituja Indapure in Sammamish (City Council candidate)
· Saturday 1pm for Marcie Maxwell in Renton (Mayoral candidate)
· Sunday 1pm for Karen McKnight in Sammamish (City Council candidate)
