Today and Wednesday there are some opportunities to learn about the challenge of affordable housing.
Check it out: Affordable housing is a huge unmet need in the Puget Sound, and intertwined with issues such as homelessness and income inequality.In Issaquah, 3 in 10 households are housing cost-burdened, and 19% of households live in homes at risk for lead exposure. Wednesday May 15th, 6-8 pm, Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, Kirkland, Affordable Housing 101: Why is it so dang hard?
Join a coalition of service providers on the Eastside and Tech for Housing and participate in a “head and heart” experience and learn about why the issue of Affordable Housing is such a difficult one. You’ll hear stories from experts on both sides of this crisis — those working to create more and those who are in need of it.
